COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double bock beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10° and 12° C.

Bottle at Carrabba’s. Served in lager glass, reddish brown color with off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt. Taste is sweet, roasty and malty. Medium body, decent bitter finish. Surprised by this one, very good compared to its boring pale lager brother. Would do again in Italian restaurants.

Bottle. Slightly sweet fruit caramel malt and toast aroma. Clear deep amber with a large dense creamy beige head. Sweet fruity caramel and toasty malt flavor with a subtle bitter finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation. A bit sweet for my personal taste.

330ml tap in Murano island, Italy 18.05.13. Dark amber reddish body and no head. Caramel and prune aroma, maybee some tiramisu. It was a warm day in Murano, after a beautiful boat ride in a packed boat and browsing about 100 different fabrics, show rooms and small shops selling glass it was refreshing and a great thirst quencher.

Bottle at Barroncina in Iowa City. Very pretty amber red pour. Flavor is all malt and caramel. Good for a few sips but generally too sweet and cloying to keep drinking.

Aroma is malt, almost like sniffing malt extract with a hint of a metallic smell and a touch of marmite. Flavour is a simple sweet maltiness and not well balanced, even for a doppelbock.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Quite a nice with roasted malt and some moments of a stout in. Quaffy, easy to drink and due to some sweetness a quite delicious one.

Deep dark red colour with low head and smooth body. Nose of malt. Taste of dark grains, dark nuts, strong alcohol, rich malt and burnt caramel. Very light metallic finish with some bubbling hints. Easy to drink, quaffable and nice.
