COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double bock beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10 and 12 C.

Had about six of these beers to chase shots of single malt scotch at the company holiday party at Tutto Mare in Fashion Island so I really cant remember all the flavor/aroma details. I do recall that it tasted thick, sweet, and coffee/chocolatey and was the best beer available at the restaurant (the Anchor Steam on tap tasted infected). Definitely the finest Moretti product Ive tasted.

Poured from a 330 ml bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- I get a ton of malt with a dash of caramel. Not bad. Appearance- A neat looking brew, has a nice reddish tint. Pours a large white head. Taste- A real strong malt and grain flavor, its pretty good. Palate- This is a medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. It has a smooth finish with a light aftertaste. Overall- A pretty fair beer, I think this would go good with pasta and the next time I am at an Italian restaurant that carries this beer I will give it another try.
