COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double bock beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10° and 12° C.

Had about six of these beers to chase shots of single malt scotch at the company holiday party at Tutto Mare in Fashion Island so I really can’t remember all the flavor/aroma details. I do recall that it tasted thick, sweet, and coffee/chocolatey and was the best beer available at the restaurant (the Anchor Steam on tap tasted infected). Definitely the finest Moretti product I’ve tasted.

Bottle from an Italian restaurant in Celebration, Florida. Deep amber with a clean malty taste, and a surprisingly good example of the style.

Fat. Rödbrun med ett stort smutsvitt skum. Dofter av karamell, nöt och brunt socker. Smakinslag av karamell, nöt, bränt socker och malt. Det brända sockret känns i avslutningen. Medelstor kropp.

Light roasted nutty aroma. Deep ruby brown body with a pillowy off-white head that has a reddish hue. Smooth malt caramel nut taste. Has a crispy fruit character in the middle. Silky and wet to the finish.

Bottle. Malty with caramel and chocolate on the nose and the palate. Dark color but not heavy in the mouth. A little bitter but a Lyle sweet too so balance is good. F Avey---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fľaša. Tmavá jantárová až hnedá farba, biela pena. Vôňa sladká, jemne karamel, prezreté ovocie. Chuť pikantná na jazyku, prechod cez karamelové tóny, neskôr prezreté ovocie. Pekná horká dochuť.

Pours a rich copper from a bottle. Caramel-y nose and flavor, well-balanced. Not much going on, but no real faults either. Good beer.

Copper pour with an off white head. Caramel malty sweetness and a little bit of funk in the taste. Tastes like Optimator Light in a way, in that it’s kinda strong but less complex. Not bad, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to find it.

Poor’s a light brown in color. Has no head or lacing with average carbonation. Very syrupy in flavor (on the verge of tasting medicinal)
