dkachur (723), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Aug 20, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville. Brown-tinged red with a fizzy 2-finger head. Roasted malt aroma with some dark fruits. Roasted grain taste with plum and raisin notes, with caramel and banana in the finish. Medium bodied. phishpond417 (1360), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Aug 20, 2008 Sampled from bottle, it pours a dark reddish copper colour, which carries a fairly large tan head. Aroma is of grainy alcohol, heavily roasted malts, toffee and ripe fruit. Mouthfeel is full, creamy on the palate, flavor is noticeably chocolate infused with raisins, plums and pomegranate flavors. afireinside96 (390), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 15, 2008 12oz bottle served in a Duvel tulip.
