COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Pours a very clear yellow with a half a finger of rapidly dissipating head. Straw and a sickly sweetness to the nose. Crisp, which is very good as it is about 90 degrees right now, but not a lot of flavor to it. Some sweet grass flavor to it, with a watered down aftertaste. It’s better than I assumed.

Ausgezeichnet! Test vom 1.5.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche

A: The beer pours a very pale yellow color with a short lived white head. S: Enormous amounts of skunk to the nose, and a lot of marijuana notes to it as well. Lots of sulfur, a bit of grass, and a little bit of grain. But, the skunk really overpowers everything. T: Fairly heavy skunk on the palate as well. Moderate sweetness with a bit of corn and some palt malt flavor to it. Minimal hop flavor and almost no bitterness to this beer. M: Light in body with a medium to high level of carbonation. O: Could be okay if it wasn’t so horrendously skunky.

Pours a light yellow colour with a short lived white head. Aroma is malty with some grass and citrus. Taste is some malt with a bit of citrus and a light bitter finish. Not a lot to talk about with this one.

Clear golden with faint white head. Sweet grain in the nose. Carbonation and hops prick on the tongue, malt coats it and then I’m left with a little hop flavor. Standard stuff for a pale lager. Nothing memorable not much reason to drink it unless it’s all you happen to have near by that’s cold.

On tap in The Apollo, London. Pours dark yellow amber. Nose is quite good. Grassy hops and some malt. Flavour isn’t as good. Dry slightly grassy hops, bit of malt, quite dry on finish. Bit cardboardy and whilst it’s refreshing at first it really becomes limp on the palate after a while.

Draught at 9:ans Ölhall (yes, it’s a new place) Göteborg, on April 29, 2011
Pale yellow color, small white head. Sweet, malty, grainy scent. Sweet, malty, sugary taste. Moussy mouthfeel, low to very low bitterness.
