COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Its a pilsner which limits it right from the start, but as far as pilsners go its prety good. Has a decent bitterness to it, but its nothing special.

Very pale and flat looking beer. Overall it is a very ordinary beer that lacks any real sparkle in the taste department.

Very smooth and not overbearing at all, without being to watered down. Give it a try.

Nothing defining about this beer. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good beer. I enjoyed it along with my Rotini and Sausage at a classy Italian resteraunt in San Diego. It’s light in color with a foamy white head. A tad bitter on the aftertaste. A good ammount of carbination. Not enough Hops, really.

Smells of hops, golden with fluffy white head. Slightly bitter, easy drinking, ordinary.

Not really a lot going on here. While a decent enough pilsener, it lacked any defining taste or aroma.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2007 Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light to medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), trace hops (herbs), with light notes of metal and DMS, hint of apple. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly husky. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, slightly metallic.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2003 Wow, this was disappointing -- I heard this is a great beer. Nice malty smell and golden colour, but it's thin, highly carbonated and almost flavourless. Almost exactly like drinking club soda with a hint of bitterness and little aftertaste. Weak. Refreshing with very salty food, perhaps.
