COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Draught at 9:ans Ölhall (yes, it’s a new place) Göteborg, on April 29, 2011
Pale yellow color, small white head. Sweet, malty, grainy scent. Sweet, malty, sugary taste. Moussy mouthfeel, low to very low bitterness.

330 ml bottle at Jimmy the Greek’s, OOB Maine. This isn’t a good lager at all. Taste like watered down Heineken. a foul bitter, skunk in aroma and taste. Won’t buy again.

Finhead (654) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - APR 20, 2011
A nearly translucent pale yellow pour with a white head. The aroma is typical of light pale lagers, mostly just light grains. The light body has a watery texture with lively carbonation. The taste is crisp and mildly sweet with a quick, slightly dry finish.

invinoveritas (39) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2011
66cl bottle. Pours bright gold with a foamy head that stays for a while. Aroma is bread-y rather than malty, and all the better for it. Quite crisp and refreshing when cold, but difficult to drink huge quantities. The bread comes through in the taste, and there is almost a salty sensation on the palate. This develops into an almost olive and/or breadstick taste, meaning that this beer would go well with traditional Mediterranean appetisers. Interesting for an offering from a large commercial brewery.

monkeychugg55 (681) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - MAR 25, 2011
Clear gold with a small white head. The aroma is a little bit toasted, but mostly sweet pl type malt. The flavor has the same character, like a vienna or other darker beer. Mostly sweet with a touch of hops on the finish. Light body with moderate carbonation. Drinkable, but not great.

markas101 (1438) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 23, 2011
33 cl bottle, Sheffield, UK. Medium gold, rice/corn aroma with some faint spice. Sweet, limited depth but definitely a ’suitable drink at any time of the day’.

Bottle. In a head-to-head comparison with Peroni this won out....barely. Light clear yellow with a pure white head. Some herbal and grassy notes for the hops. Some dryness in the body and very fizzy carbonation, obviously thin. OK for what it is.
