COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Poured from bottle into pint glass. Not a whole lot going on here, but it’s better than your average pale lager. Mild grassy hops and grainy aroma with similiar taste. Finishes clean. As a side note I was happy that they avoided the skunk-producing green bottles that some OTHER european lagers use.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2008 Draught. Pours light golden with little head. Aroma and taste are both rather mild, typical of pale lagers, slightly grassy. Not too interesting, but not objectionable either. A step above some pale lagers, but I still wouldn’t go out of my way to drink it.

Typical lager. A lot better than other Italians I have sampled. Grassey but with enough wheat flavor and boldness to be interesting. Refreshing and light with some heavy food.

Clear gold. Lots of tiny particles in suspension. Thin white head. Sweet, slightly corny aroma. Sweet, mildly earthy with some light caramel flavor and a metallic finish.

Canned. Pale golden in colour, minor white head. It has a metallic, jhoppy aroma. The flavour has a "sting" of metal and hops. It’s quite watery but still quite tasty for a lager. Thanks "Dorqui" for this beer.

Canned. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is malty with also some quite harsh hoppy and metallic hints. Flavour and palate is very watery. Though the flavour gets a big malty kick in the finish. Also quite clean flavoured...

Curieux, bu dans un restaurant italien. Les italiens font du bon vin, la bičre, pas vraiment. Arome d’huile d’olive poche, zero goűt. Italie, lachez la bičre!

We drank this to celebrate teh winter Olympics in Tornio. I know that this is made by the green machine, but they haven’t found a way to totally screw it up yet. I enjoyed this pilsener for what it was.

Standard lager color, little white head. Grassy, fuity and hopped aroma. Thin to medium bodied. Watery start, ends with mild hops and some skunky and hoppy tones.
