COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Well, I’m not terribly surprised that Heineken had some hand in making this one. Fairly standard lager, pored a clear gold wit ha small, white head. Aroma is mild hops with a slight sour note. Flavor is malty with a bitter hop finish. Fairly tasty brew, but nothing overly special. And, to agree with aceofhearts, the fellow on the bottle is pretty cool.

This one was exactly what I expected, and wanted it to be. Light, transparent gold body with a soapy white head. Minimally hoppy aroma with a noticeable skunkiness. Flavor was lightly bitter and hoppy, but crisp and pleasantly skunky. Extremely thin on the palate. The second one I had accompanied a spagetti dish with a rich tomato/meat sauce, and the beer was a perfect companion to the food. Not bad at all, but not a favorite.

Bottle. WOW! I missed this the whole time, somehow not shamelessly ratings-whoring this brew so that not only could I inch my number of ratings up by one, but I could tack on the country of Italy in my effort to get to 100 countries. This brew gets a freakin’ 5 in appearance. Not because it’s typically clear and golden and has a small head, but because of the freakin’ pimp guy on the label! I mean, look at his outfit, with the matching green hat and suit - on any lesser man, it would make them look like some stupid Irish punk, but he makes it work. For one thing, the suit appears exceptionally well-made. But look at his intense focus on the beer - he doesn’t give a FUCK what you think, he’s all about the beer! And the moustache is pimp as well; it makes me want to grow mine back right after I score a matching green suit and hat. The beer is watery with some minor skunk and graininess, but it gets at least some points since it’s not the Kirin light that I had earlier today.

White mostly lasting head. Golden color. Aroma is malty with corny and light herbal (hoppy) notes. Flavor is moderately malty with grainy and herbal tones, ending in a moderately sweet finish. Light bodied.

This is quite good without being spectacular. Not as good as Peroni though.

Yellow body with moderate carbonation and fleeting soapy white head. Slightly skunky cloud passed and left the aroma of buttered popcorn, malt, and mild herbal spice. DMS flavor, fairly sweet and malty but the hop finish is fairly clean. Another insipid lager, the only difference being that this one is Italian.

Pours a golden color, with a small quickly dissapating head. Aroma is a sweet grainy combination. Flavor is malty and sweet, warm and yielding. Not bad at all.

On tap, Venetian Las Vegas. Sparkling golden color, white head. Light malt/hop interplay. Fairly bland. Thin, but fairly refreshing. Boring, but inoffensive.

Glolden in colour and a quite a pleasant euro lager. Nice to look at and quite thirst quenchning on a warm summers night. Not one to try a second time.
