Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Bottle. Golden yellow color, see through with medium white head. Not much retention or lacing in head. Slightly malty, slightly stale in aroma. Flavor is watery and bitter without having much taste to it at all. Kind of run of the mill crappy eurolager.

Pale yellow lager color, small steady white head. Sparkling carbonation. Grassy hop aroma, slightly skunked. Mouthfeel starts watery, then malty and crispy carbonated palate. Slightly hopped in aftertaste. Another (boring) basic lager.

I sampled mine at the St. Anthonyís Italian Festival in Wilmington, DE. Poured from the bottle into a plastic cup by the vendor. Beer set me back $3.50. Good looking golden lager, slight malty aroma and flavor. Refreshing, but not remarkable.

SKUNK JUICE!!!! But they trick you by giving it absolutely no smell. Tricky bastards thought they could get away with it. Well they didnít expect me to come along and tell the world about the biohazardous waste there shipping to us. Donít buy!!

Poured pale golden with creamy white head. Soon however, the head became rather clumpy. Skunky, sweet malt/faint hop aroma. Nothing very special about this one. Light in flavor, had a strange wet paper taste to it. My first beer from Italy.

Bottle: Poured a golden colored brew with almost no head. Aroma is quite thin and almost non-existent. Taste is a light mix of sweetness with some floral malt. No aftertaste to speak of and carbonation is not good. Body is quite thin. Overall, this is a refreshing lager that doesnít have much in term of taste.

Smells like lemons and cookies? Am I crazy? Apperance is golden and bubbly. The taste is a little weak with some sour and bitter flavors present. Its aftertaste is a bit dry. It would do ok on a hot day.

Halfway decent. Looks and tastes like the Italianís version of an American Standard. I can definitely tell that itís a Heineken product. Not bad, but not terrific either.

Were it not for the moustachioed man on the label I might not think as hihgly as I do. Not that I think all too highly of this. On the one hand, standard fair like what gets shot down here a lot. On the other is it not having a bunch of off flavors and the sense of being adjunct laden.
