COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Pale yellow, pretty average looking. The slightest hint of hops at the end. As a thirst quencher or even with a meal at an Italian restaurant this isnt bad, but standing on its own it is nothing exceptional.

I take great pride in my Italian heritage. However, when it comes to beer, there is little cause for pride. Baladin Nora, Birra Moretti La Rossa are two good ones. This, however, is a stinker. Pale yellow with small foamy white head. Unremarkable aroma other than a nondescript sweetness and a touch of skunkiness. Watery. Flavor was bland and unsatisfying.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2005 I had this at an Italian Restaurant on Crescent Street in Montreal. Itís the Budweiser of Italy. A Lager with nothing exceptional really... Very average color taste and smell with some hop bitterness.

Light yellow color with a white head. Not much aroma and has some flavor. Overall a not very impressive beer.

Poured a light pale yellow with a nice amount of white foamy head. Aroma is grassy and sweet, kinda pilsnerish. Flavor a little watery, slight bitterness, sweet and smooth. Overall, I really enjoyed this, especially with the 100+ degree weather.

Pale yellow hue, with a nice white head, with pale malt, fruity and malty nose, follows through on a medium-bodied palate, with pale malt, a sweet maltiness accent, leading to a mild bitterness note on the finish.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2005 Bottle (330ml). Poured a brassy yellow with a very big soapy/rocky white head, extremely nice lacing (dammit!). Aroma is reminiscent of urinal cakes, with grain, skunk essence and crushed weeds. Taste is surpisingly okay to me (I was expecting a horrorshow), but it quickly developed a nasty aftertaste. Might be acceptable with food, but as a *beer* itís lame and watery. Is it an ale? Seems yet another corn-infused stale pointless S.I.L.
