Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Uneventful, but not close to being a drainpur. Pours a bright yellow, very clear, lots of bubbles, some white fizzy head. Nose is grass and some mild pislnery hops. Taste is much more like a pils, tart but yet sweet lager. High on the carbonation scale, but highly drinkable in the sun or if nothing else is available.

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear and pale yellow with a small white head. Grassy and grainy aroma with some hints of corn and hay. Dry and bitter flavor with lots of grain and a sour, bitter finish. Typical European pils/pale lager.

Pours a pale yellow with a small white head. The aroma is a grassy, grainy pilsner; the taste follows. Fairly dry, not unpleasant, a softly sour hop finish --- a straightforward southern european pilsner --- but overall, entirely uninspiring. I could drink this in a pinch on a hot summer’s day, but that’s about the extent of it.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2006 Not much experience with Italian beers but this one was okay. Yellow pour with minimal head. Thin lager, but refreshing. Dry finish. Don’t expect it to do much more than quench your thirst.

A very average beer, golden color, nice aroma, head dissapates quickly. somewhat bitter taste, much better beers for the money.

(01.19.06) 12 oz brown bottle purchased from Trattoria 10, Chicago, IL. Clear golden yellow lager having a large long-lasting head with good lacing. Sweet malt aroma. Average carbonation. Light-to-medium bodied that starts dry with light malt sweetness and some hop flavor. Finishes dry with light hop bitterness. A good crisp, refreshing dry lager that goes well with seared salmon.

66 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Golden colour with a large white head. Hoppy aroma and flavour. Ends with a bitter and watery finish. Very dill and average.

Why do importers bring this stuff over here? There is nothing exceptional about this beer, except that it’s from Italy. Pours a clear, gold from the bottle. Aroma consists of cut grass. Head has multiple-sized bubbles, but they didn’t stay long. Flavor is crisp, but unimpressive. Carbonation dominates the mouthfeel. No aftertaste to speak of, but I guess that makes it a bit quenching, refreshing.

poured a clear pale yellow with no head. aroma is grainy and taste was similar to a bad american lager. mouthfeel very weird, overly carbonated.

Bottle. Yellow, fizzy. Slightly skunky aroma. Mmmm, maybe it’s... I don’t know... old? Taste is bland, but like others have said it would serve as a decent refreshing beer... I guess. Probably better if fresh, but that ain’t gonna save this one. My first italian beer. Woohoo.
