COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Nice white, mostly diminishing head on a yellow clear body. Aroma is lightly malty. Taste is clean and dry. Fizzy and a light body. Not too bad actaully.

golden colour. fresh clean aroma with some grassiness and a whiff of doughy malt. not bad, no off flavours, but there's nothing special about it either.

Golden in color with a decent frothy head. Aroma is malt and grains. Flavor is sweet. Very fizzy beer

This is a pretty clean and refreshing beer that I think is a bit better than Peroni. Clean malt flavors a light hop bitterness all around. Plus, the mustache dude on the label helps add a few coolness points.

Yellow-gold with a frothy white head. Faint malty-bread aroma. Although it has some character of it's own, it boils down to being just another malty thin pilsener. Hardly worth the effort.

A malty aroma with a nice hop background, subtle skunk. Flavor is malty and overall very average, a light biscuit flavor with fruity hops.

an orangey colour. just a typical cheap european lager in all other departments. good label though.

one of the seemingly endless stream of lame one sided euro lagers that always deliver a wonderfully skunky and one dimensional urine flavour

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2005 Aug, 2003: Sampled alongside Birra Del Vecchio and Dos Equis. This was the clear winner. One of the oldest and most respected breweries in a country almost devoid of beer drinkers, the quality is acceptable. Some grassy notes in the aroma, and a very laid back malt sweetness in the flavour. Not exactly exciting, but at least it’s not unpleasant. Finish has some hints of hop bitterness. Drinkable. [2.4]
Feb, 2005: Light grainy malt with some stodgy spongy sweetness. Dried shit aroma. Late dull bitterness in the finish. Drinkable [2.2]
Aug, 2005: Fizzy bottled lager. [2.1]

Grainy aroma and flavor typical of European light lagers. Ends with a dry malt aftertaste.
