COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Thin, light bodied. Just about average in every way. Fairly quaffable though. Taste remarkably similar to Heineken?

Crystal clear, deep golden lager. Large white head which is fully diminishing and leaves no lacework. The nose is of honey, chicken broth and lightly floral hops. Not much flavor. Thin, but well-balanced. Light-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, crisp finish. Not bad for the style. Not really very good either.

I've been wanting to try this one for ages, but have never wanted six at a time. While up at Six Flags, I had dinner down the street (east of the park on 43)at a quaint little Italian grille known as "Vito's" (some of the most authentic Italian I have ever had - Highly recommended). Thus a perfect opportunity for sampling was presented. This brew pours from the bottle a light sparkling straw. The average wispy white frothy head has light lacing and stays a while. The nose is fresh and clean, with a hint of flowers. The flavor is as one would expect from a pils, crisp and light - summertime refreshing if not deep. The palate is light and watery with moderate carb, and a clean finish. Typical pilsener.

Italians make great wine and women. They should stick to what they are good at. This is a more tasteful American macro brewed in Italy.

Subtle hop aroma. Very light body with traces of diacetyl. Decent, but nothing exciting.

Tastes fine, I guess. A bit of fermented taste, but not in that typical, you know, beer-like way.

Yeah, nice chap with an elegant moustache. Rather soft and low hopped beer that is designed to be served with a meal with cream, a la carbonara or alfredo. This is a beer that is not sure of where it fits.

Bottled. Bright and bubbly, straw coloured larger. Again slight malt flavour, nothing to brag about. Just managed to edged out the Peroni on the night. Enzo’s Wine Bar, London.
