Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2006 From my notes, March ’05. Pale gold color with a small white head. Grainy, bittersweet aroma. Tastes bitter, nothing else challenging the bitter flavor. A bit metallic too, like nickel. Dry crisp finish. Not a thing to get again.

Poured from the bottle, a pale yellow (aka BuckeyeBoy’s "pee colour") with an unappealing frothy white head. A very strong metallic aroma - maybe a hint of lemon. A strong sharp metallic taste as well along with a fizzy mouthfeel. Absolutely terrible.

This poured a pale golden colour with a medium sized fluffy but thick white head that went away at a medium pace. The nose is bad... Bad dusty malt with some weak skunkiness...ugh. The taste is watery, so smooth I guess, some ok maltiness, but the big (for a macro pale lager) but crude hopiness dominates the end and the (long) aftertaste. Could be worse, but still far from good.

Pretty underwhelming. Entirely forgettable. As pale lagers go, I would probably just get an MGD and save myself the extra dollar. If you’re looking to try an Italian beer, pick up a Peroni instead.

Also had at the LI Beer Fest friday. Nothing worth going on about, typical Italian beer...garbage.

Faint malty scent. Moretti lacks flavor; its flat, overly carbonated, and has a faint grainy taste. Its refreshing and drinkable, but I wouldn’t see myself getting a six-pack of this, but probably a single bottle. Hey, its better than U.S. Bud.

Poured golden with minor carbonation and decent white head and lace. Euroskunk aroma. In the mouth has a carboard and buscuits sort of snap to it followed by a bitter finish. Brisk, that’s the word I will use.
