COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

A lively, but clear golden pour. Has a small white head that dissipates quickly. Does have some lacing. Aroma is grassy....well, actually kinda skunky.....really put off by it. Taste has strong flavor of corn....adjuncts? This is not very good at all. I wonít be drinking this again.

Pours a very pale yellow with a snowwhite head. Dissipates very quickly but is very fizzy. Smell is lightly grassy with a light bittering hops in the background. Taste is grassy, rice crispness. Sparkling mineral water flavors. Long unpleasant mineral bitterness. Clean and crisp mouth. Very fizzy. Overall, unpleasant little lager lots of that mineral water bitterness (for lack of a better deScripter) and not enjoyable on any level.

Pours like any other pale lager. Uninspiring and boring. Italy is known for wine, not beer..

After hearing so many negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised with this burnished gold "Italian Heineken." A smooth malty, yeasty nose, I donít get the vegetal and spicy tones at all, maybe some apple--one of the ubiquitous European pale lagers for sure, but not bad considering. I would choose this over a Bud, I call it a pleasant-enough, sweetish thirst quencher.

As itís now part of the Heineken group, I donít know whether this beer has gotten better or, even worse still, remained in itís original form. Pours a clear pale straw with islands of effervescent bubbles in place of itís missing head. Unusual ground pepper, chives and bittering hops in the aroma. Husky malt in the mouth, very light bodied and spritzy in carbonation. Became sweeter as it warmed, but remained husky and dry throughout, with only a hint of lemony hops. Nothing too offensive about it, but it didnít seem the refresher I expected from a Mediterranean country such as itís homeland. Just didnít work for me!!!

Not impressed. Light gold color, kind of dry and very watery. Will not buy again. Drain pour.

Bottle: Felt it was rather dry. Nothing special. The color looked like an american macro to me, very light. I agree though, when in Italy drink some red wine, not beer!
