23rd July 2010. On tap at the Old Dispensary - Aldgate E1. Clear gold beer, decent white head. Surprisingly the palate is a little soft but there is enough carbonation. The lagerish malt has a distinct cararway flavour and there is actually - shock horror - some discernable hoppy orange in the finish. The OD seem to keep their beers in great shape and that has probably helped here but this was a decent drinkable lager. Even had a second pint!

This is bad. Bought at a market with high turnover, so odds are likely it is fresh. Aroma has some interesting dried fruits to it, and then it is SKUNKED from there. Bad, Bad, Bad. Cardboard and metal with a bit of wet newspaper. It came all the way from Italy and there is a really good chance it will end up as a drain pour.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Balazs (562) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUL 8, 2010
Poured pale yellow with a medium white head. Malts, hops, corn and some metallic aroma puts this beer into the “why bother” category. Light body, high carbonation. Watery overall. If I must say something good about, then maybe the amount of hops gives it a nice bitterness (unless it’s artificial).
2.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 poisoneddwarf (881) - Rathdrum, Idaho, USA - JUL 6, 2010
12 oz bottle into lager glass. Bought this so I can get Italy on the map. Aroma is total pale lager: cereal grains and that’s about it. Dull. Pours a really pale yellow with a thick head that retains itself admirably, given the style. Foam leaves nice lace on the sides of the glass. Taste is pale lager but is more interesting. It’s kind of peppery and sweet at the same time. Somewhat sour finish. Highly carbonated. Definitely one of the best pale lagers I’ve had.

Pours clear gold with a fluffy white head. Malt and hop aromas. Sweet, clean crisp taste with a slight hop bitterness. Light body with a high level of carbonation.
