COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Italian Heineken? No thanks... stick with the La Rossa.

Bottle. Another boring macro. Sweet corn flavours, unpleasantly bitter finish.

bottle, from palladio, new market, rhodes city, rhodes, greece. clear yellow, smooth thick white head. aroma is sweet, corn, smooth aroma. flavor is a bit of a disappointment - sweet, faint sawdusty, strangely bitter, like a sweet corny macro, but with a strange gasoline or glue like bitterness.

Bottle 66 cl. Thx to Wim D. Tasted yesterday @ WBF tasting. Yellow color, with an normal white head. Aroma lik an regular pilsner, grainy malts. Thin body. Taste nothing special, watery, typical pilsner malts.

She filled my glass with bright yellows and gold as clear as the rising sun each and every morning. Puffy white clouds rise to greet her before settling down under a watchful gaze. A couple vigorous swirls do nothing to agitate any lace or a thicker head. It obviously hasn’t rained for a while in the land of Birra Moretti because she is awash in dry grains, dry corn, and dry grass browning under the hot sun. There is a bit of respite though as sweet lemon and soft wonder bread add a little life to the party. I can say with total authority that while her nose isn’t bad, she is no different than any other macro lager, domestic and import. My first quaff is light and a bit watery with the dry grass, grains, and corn washing by faster than I can quaff. A touch of lemon tries to tease the top of my tongue with a bit of success, lingering for a moment or two after each quaff with a bit of snappy verve. And then she was gone. As soon as she crept in to my life unassumingly, so too does she leave my life just as unassumingly.

For the miniscule differences between the large majority of macro lagers domestic and import, to say that one can taste the difference between the two is stretching the concept far beyond its realistic capacity. Birra Moretti was neither great nor bad; she just was.

The appearance is like a typical pale lager, only a tad darker. The aroma is grassy, malty. The flavor follows the aroma, but also has a strong contribution of noble hops, and a lot of carbonation. The finish is bittered by noble hops, and a slight tgaste of metal. The mouthfeel is thin medium. Decent for what it is.

330ml bottle. Pale gold in colour with a slight white head. A thin, malty lager with some tired hops and a faintly metallic finish. Poor.
