COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

this is why italy is a wine country. i remember my college roommate stumbling into our florentine flat at 4 in the afternoon, hooded sweatshirt loaded down with these. he was ecstatic at the large (330ml) bottle for 99 eurocents (water cost 1 euro...) better than your average american mass production run, but nothing to go out of your way for

On draught at Pasta Pastini off 21st and Division in SE Portland--Poured a light straw color with a small white fizzy head. Poured quite cold. Bubbles raced fervently up glass to top of beer. Nose of mild stinging hops and rice and dry malts. Great pairing with my pasta dish. Pretty nondescript pale lager overall, but afterall, isn’t Italy a wine country for the most part? Give me Baladin!

Very light yellow on this lager. Sweet and malty, this actually isn’t that bad. A little hops, though not much. Decent.

Poured a clear golden color with decent white head that dissipated fairly quickly. Not too much aroma to speak of, much like an American macro lager. Taste was actually pretty decent, I was pleasantly suprised. Very smooth and easy drinking. Wouldn’t seek this out, but wouldn’t turn down either.

Bottle at a local Italian restaurant. Clear yellow with pretty much no head. Faint aroma and a mildly grainy taste with a dry finish.

Poured a thin yellow color with a very small head that quickly disappeared. Very carbonated brew, not unlike a Stella or a Spaten. Smells a bit sour, Tastes a bit sour. Nothing complex here, just a simple Italian Beer.

Draft. There isn’t much to say about this beer, and I think it is pretty much covered here. Nothing at all stood out.

Highest quality ingredients? Do they use the best rice available? Best fossilized hop flowers? Not much here - kind of sour and yeasty, holds a decent head. Not interesting and not impressive in any sense.
