COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Bottle - pours a clear gold with a white head. Smelly quite skunky, which is awful. It tastes a bit skunky too. Not in any way recommended.

Crap! Sometime this research is painful. It has a massive Heineken funk skunk on the nose. Pours golden from bottle with a thin white head. A fly just flew into the beer and died instantly which should tell you something about the taste. Finishes eventually.

Light grain aroma. Clear yellow color with a small white head. Mild bitter beginning with a lightly sweet and sour flavor. Light palate.

Some hay in the aroma, pale look, pale taste. When it´s finished nothing much stays to remember.

Test vom 29.9.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,6,10,5,10,6 - 7,15

0.33 bottle, 4.6% brewed at Bergamo plant. Pale gold, thin white head quickly disappearing. Neutral nose. Aroma has some malts and grassy hops. Mild taste, smooth, light bitter finish. Harsh mouthfeel, high carbonation. Boring...

Had this in Italy (Vernazza, Siena, Rome). Subtle malt aroma, nice golden hue. Medium sweetness, with a light bitterness. Light on the palate. I had this beer years ago in the US and was like "OK", but it really fit the bill in Italy. I will try this again here in the US. Went well with a wide variety of food and very thirst quenching without being vapid.

Had this on tap at Eataly, and it tasted better than I remember it tasting out of the bottle. Not a great beer, but definitely better fresh.
