COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

(can, 33cl) Clear, golden colour with a blond massive foamy head. Sweet and slightly corny malty nose with a touch of grassy and metallic hops. Sweet and harsh bitter-tart flavour, light bodied with a lively, slightly fizzy carbonation. Bland pale malty, slightly corny taste with a harsh bitter tart metallic finish. 28.I.10

a sim rate: Such a shame that such bad beer can come served with such great food. Italians are obviously too preoccupied with making great food to concentrate on their beer-brewing. This same rate can go for Nastro and most other peronis.

Test vom 29.9.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,6,10,5,10,6 - 7,15

Pale golden colour with fluffy white head. Caramel malt aroma with floral hop aroma. Flavour is not good, with a distinct wet cardboard. The body is thin, with some faint maltiness and faintly spicy hops. Poorly done.

Bottled. A pale anaemic blonde beer with a litle white head. A skunky sweet vomity aroma leads to a reasonably tasty lager with some hop bitterness. A typical Euro lager in many ways but it’s not as awful as some.

Had this one out of a can at a Italian restaurant in Paris. Aroma of grass and cheap malts. Deep gold clear color with a small fizzy white head. Not much taste till the finish which had an unpleasant bitterness. Way too fizzy!! Stuck to the wine after that.
