Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

330ml bottle bought in Torino, Italy. Clear golden colour with white head vanishing very fast. Simple, nothing complex, a little bitterness, little fruit taste. Hops are there, but nothing strong, a very light beer. Good for easy drinking during summer. Overall a popular industrial italian beer, quite common, light and clean.

Very popular Italian beer sold in a 0,66 glass bootle. Very light taste, whole of water, and smell with malt. Noything special - it is just another concern beer.

Bottle at Billys, Harpenden. Mid gold with a white head. Light grassy hops with peppery notes and a slightly dry finish. Fairly standard macro lager, better than some though.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2014 Bottle at Villa Cristina, Monterosso. Clear golden body with a thin white head that slowly fades. Low carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of sweetcorn and lemon. Flavour of grass, stainless steel and lime zest. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Better (or less offensive) than other mass produced Lagers.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pilsener. The appearance was a decent looking hazy yellow color with a slight transparency about it allowing some light carbonation to be seen rising at a moderate pace. The head was about a finger’s worth and dissipated at a nice pace. There was just a tad of stringy lacing that slid right on into the beer. The smell had some light roasted corn notes but coming across slightly sweet and allowing a decent light hop balance to it. The taste was mainly sweet but it also had a flavor that tried to bring some bitter balance to it. Did it? Uh...honestly, not really. On the palate, this one sat a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was actually fairly creamy and smooth. Overall, this was actually not a bad pale lager, its just not something to go bonkers about.

From a bottle in Huntington Beach. No remarkable aroma. Makes a white foamy head and laces a bit. Tastes very malty with very light hop finish. I loved this beer 30 years ago. Now, it's just okay. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

66 cl bottle from a Carrefour (€ 1,19) in Torino, June 2014. Pours clear light amber with huge, frothy white head leaving a nice lacing. Nose is - as expected - predominantly malty, but also vaguely sweet and fruity, as if sniffing fruit juice from some distance. Taste is malty (hay, dry) and... let’s say dingy. Aroma clearly beats taste. The initial juicy sweetness disappears later and is replaced with a more malty and caramelly character. The beer’s aroma and taste clearly worsen as it warms. Low carbonation. Light to medium body. Watery. Aftertaste is watery and yet dry, there’s some hay and a sliiight bitterish feel to it. Overall it’s really not bad for a cheap-ass lager to gulp after a long hot day while pretending to watch some high-paid men chase a ball.
