COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Very standard beer. Tastes a bit metallic but the aftertaste is fine. What can I say about this beer? It’s not a bad lager, but not very good either.

Golden beer with a bit of white foam. The taste is lightly bitter with hints of lemon. No bad on a hot summer day, but don’t take to much time, because the taste fade away in no time :-(

Poured from a 330mL bottle into a pint mug. Aroma- Has an average aroma of grass and hops. Appearance- Pours an amber color with a thick white head. Taste-Not a bad taste, however I have had this in Sicily and it was much better closer to the brewery. Palate- A medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Overall- This is just okay for me, Italian beers don’t get a lot of love, pretty much for a good reason.

Pours golden with a white head. The taste and aroma are pretty much what you would expect from lager. No strong flavours, just hints of citrus and metallic notes. Seems particularly watery.

Enjoyed while having baked ziti, pours clear light straw gold, decent head, lots of visible carbonation. Light sweet cracker sweetness, some faint grassy notes mid sip. Finish is metallic. Body is light.

Cagliari 2/8 2014. 50 cl bottle from Gieffe. Pours light yellow color with quickly dispersing head. Very faint aroma and even fainter taste. Slightly better than Danish discount but very run of the mill Italian lager.
