COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

I drank this in Udine in front of some proud locals, so of course I enjoyed it then. In retrospect it was very smooth but had little else to stand it apart from its competitors.

0.33l bottle. Light golden color with white head. Malty and grainy aroma. Taste is sweet. Thin to medium body, soft carbonation and watery palate. Overall it’s easy drinkable beer, but nothing more than that.

So you think to yourself, I’m at a Italian food joint that does a pretty good job at its food. The one actual Italian beer offering they have on tap has to be decent right? RIGHT? ah...nope. The beer pours an orange gold with a inch of foam. Smells of general cereal malts, a little syrup. The taste is cereal malts again, a little bittering hops, but really this is an "easy drinker" because it "goes down smooth" with a lovely corn fructose finish. I should have know Vesuvio’s would have crapped out on their beer, the black olives on their pizzas are those crappy sawdust tasting canned one. For shame!

Many samples in many occasions in my travels in Italy, draught, bottle and can. :) If you need an easy-to-find lager or inexpensive refresher this is not the worst choice you can make. Easy but quite satisfying.

Above average beer, very refreshing and clean tasting. It went down well, I could drink this again and again.

Egyszerű karakterisztikájú, édeskés malátás alapokra épülő, egyszersmind halovány komlós hangulatot is produkáló könnyed ivósör.

Bottle - pale golden with a fizzy white head. Aroma of lager malt and earth. Taste of dust, malts and dirt. Medium body, light carbonation. Awful.

Pale yellow with a fizzy white disappearing head. Smells of grass, hops, and soft malt. Tastes of crispy malt, corn and hay. Slightly sweet with a bitter finish. Easy enough to drink I guess.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste sweet, light. I thought this was ok. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

660ml bottle from local shop. Clear golden colour, white foam head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of malt, straw, cardboard. Taste is sweet malty, with hay, straw, cardboard and metallic bitterness. Light bodied, high carbonation, dry metallic bitter finish. Standard lager.
