COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2008 Pours pale gold with a good white head and minor lacing. Aroma is slightly skunky. Flavor is light macro but more refined. A great light beer that would go great with a meal of Italian Pasta. Tasty.

Draft. Some malty sweetness gave the impression it as a heavier beer than it was. I didn’t like it.

0,33l bottle. Pale yellow color with a white head that disappeads quickly. Slightly malty aroma, with some hops in it. Taste is like the aroma, lightly hoppy.Nothing extra, but not bad.

...basic grainy beer. I guess it would be comparable as the bud of italy. Nothing special, but not horrible.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale gold with minimal white head. Aroma of corn, grains and light skunk. Taste is about the same. Lightly bitter. Light bodied with a thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, not very good. Rebranded Heineken.

330ml bottle pours a pale straw color with a finger of white head that leaves very little lacing on the glass. Aromas are mild cereal grains and grassy hops which are typical for the style. Taste is also typical for the style with light malty sweetness and a grassy hop bitterness.

Pour from a 12 oz. bottle at Microfest. Typical pale lager in appearance- a pale, clear gold with plenty of visible carbonation and a fizzy white head. Grassy hops with minimal skunkiness, pale malts, straw, metallic notes- nothing new here. Light-bodied, with high carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. Fine for what it is and and a fortunately low amount of skunk for a green bottle lager from Europe.

Bottle in Novikov W1. This is a yellowish standard lager, the one differentiating factor being a slightly earthy malty flavour. By no means the worst out there, but pretty dull.

BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 4, 2012
Feb 2006: A brown 660ml bottle, imported into the UK and sold in many supermarkets. Looked good, as I poured some into a bolleke, very pale, even for a European lager, bubbly and bright. The head didn’t stay long. Smells of water, clean water, but still water. A typical supermarket lager in taste, slightly dry, but refreshing in my eyes. No real mouthfeel, this has not impressed me at all. On a warm, sunny day in Italy, it may taste different, but on a cold November night in England, it has scored very poorly.
