3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 LordCorkscrew (1758) - Ronco Scrivia (GE), - DEC 26, 2009
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 16, 2012
Sampled from a 0.75l bottle @ Beer Enthusiast release party. Pours a cloudy amber-ish packed with some unfiltered particles and a heavy lacing just off-white head. It has a really spicy aroma, it actually smells a bit like a perfume store, some ripe grassy and herbal berries, yeasty touches as well and a hint of alcohol. Full-bodied with a soft carbonation level. Really warming flavors, lots of spices and it’s grassy and herbal. I get lavender, weeds, alcohol and candy. It’s leaving my mouth really dry. Tasty, and really a unique tripel. 23.04.2012
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Foffern (285) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 7, 2012
Bottle sample at Beer Enthusiast release tasting, Bergen. Has a slightly fuzzy amber colour with some off-white head. An aroma with a floral and spicy character with belgian yeast, pepper, herbs, and some alcohol. The taste has a lot of spices and herbs, sweet candy, and somewhat that reminds me of cough syrup. A fairly distinctive beer with a spicy feeling are left in the throat. Bitterness: light+. Definitely an original beer that might be a good companion to food.

Bottle sample @ Beer Enthusiast Release Tasting, Bergen. Another previously unknown Italian craft brewery up for rating. Let’s do this. :-) Amber golden body, small off-white head. Nose is almonds, herbs, Belgian ale yeast, bubble gum, hints of wood, rosemary and white pepper. Complex and rather nice. Taste is heavy herbal tones, rosemary, bitter dandelion leaves, hints of grass and aniseed. A bit rough on the palate and quite intense, but all in all a pretty nice beer.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 thewolf (8625) - Kolding, DENMARK - SEP 23, 2010
Bottle. [thanks CCskou]
Pours clear amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. Great lacings. Aroma has light spices, bog myrtle, light viniousness, apples, juniper, yeast and some coriander. Medium carbonation, fine creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, malty, too vinious for me to like it. Some sweet wheat notes at the back making the finish a tad too sweet. Not my favourite.
