2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle 33 cl.
Pours clear, yellow and sparkling, with a medium white frothy head, that dwindles. Boring, but very correct for a lager.
Sweet aroma with some fruity candy or perfume. Maybe bubble gum. Mild doughy yeast. Very Italian.
Light body, slick and lively, with a metallic finish.
Short acidic and salty flavour.
Lives up to expectations. Not a beverage for enjoying in a lounge, with correct glass and a notebook. This beer is to be drunk in the sun, after hard manual labour. Which is quite strange for an Italian beer, which then have to compete with wine. Which they do so much better.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from a small shop near the Piazzo Colonna in Rome. Pours translucent gold with a slight white head. Aroma is sort of yeasty. Med body. Flavor is lightly bready, a little yeasty, and has a light amount of noble hop. Yet somehow it comes out as decently tasty. No real resemblance to an ale, but not all that much like most of the yucky premium lagers either. I think it would go quite well with Pizza Funghi or similar.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Very grainy and metallic aroma. Foggy yellow appearance. Slight bitterness followed by vegetal sweetness. Light bodied, feels airy. Like many Euro lagers, minus the heavy skunk.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
0.33l bottle. This is a blurry pale yellow-golden one with a good looking big white head. Doesn’t smell all that good. It’s really grainy an it smells almost like boiled sweet corn and dissolving metal. Bah.. It has a thin oily mouthfeel with a average carbonation level. It doesn’t really taste all that good either. Some old artificial citrus, lots of grains, cereal, wheat and starch. It has a decent amount of bitterness actually, but strangely enough that’s only in the beginning. It feels really sweet in the aftertaste. A bit all over the place, but perhaps that’s not such a bad thing when it comes to a pale lager. Makes it at least a bit interesting. It’s not a good beer though. 04.04.2013
