COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

From the odd shaped dwarf bottle dated 11-2013, Lot no. 414. It pours an incredibly milky looking orange amber with a foamy off-white head that sits stagnant on top. The aroma is a little upfront malty and buttery with a little bit of hops around the edges. The body is creamy and medium. The taste is sweet but the hop bitterness roars in to take over at the end.

Appearance: hazy medium caramel orange brown, with a finger of near white head and spotty lacing. Aroma: sharp, with grapefruit, dry floral honey and a bit of caramel malt. Taste: dry, bitter grapefruit and lemongrass, over a reticent caramel, brown bread malt backbone. Finish: dry and bitter, with citrusy hops lingering. Notes: Too hop forward for my taste, but what I got of the malts I really liked. Probably would not try again.

Richmond 19th. Medium orange, decent head. Aroma is mostly citric hop, hops prevalent, touch of caramel. Flavor matches, with a very, very dry and bitter finish. Just too bitter for my tastes. Odd.

RG 19. Bottle. Caramel color with thin cream head and light lacing. Smells caramelly and floral. Tastes really hoppy- aspirin. Long bitter finish. Don’t like the aroma like the flavor ok.

From the bottle poured a cloudy amber brew with a light white head. Aromas of malt and hops and vanilla. Medium bodied, with flavors of sweet malt that are over powered bythe hops that fade but don wuit.

Bottle courtesy of tia at the 19th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering. Pours a hazy bronze color with a large frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of brown sugar, coconut, citrus, floral and tropical hops. The taste is earthy, spicy, herbal hops, caramel, bitter finish. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. Interesting.

330ml bottle from Slow Beer. Highly carbonated as foam poured out when I took the cap off the bottle. There’s also a pile of foam when the beer is poured into the glass and it eventually settes to reveal a bold amber beer sitting beneath. Lively in the mouth with a good flavour and a nice long aftertaste.
