3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 12HundredBaud (262) - Sausalito, California, USA - MAR 20, 2011
33 cl bottle from a beer retailer. It pours a murky light amber liquid (very irregular colour) with lots of yeast sediment. It has a medium white bubbly head that dissipates fast almost entirely and leaves no lacing. The aroma is very complex and nice, with lots of fruit (fresh apples, citron, apricot), a little vinegar, a hint of herbal hops, yeast and a little malty touch. It tastes very sweet and fruity, with a little tartiness and low-medium bitterness. There is more malt in the mouth, but it is mainly hoppy (herbal, citric), with a nice cidery hint from the apples. It is a pitty that it is a little too carbonated. Light-bodied, it ends dry, leaving a hoppy and cidery aftertaste. Cool presentation for a special beer. It is worth trying, as the maceration with apples gives this brew a unique character.

Bottle from La Cerveteca, Barcelona. Murky orange pour with loads of huge floaties and a creamy off-white head. Slight gusher. Aroma of apple, clove, juniper, alcohol and slightly chemical. Flavor is heavily spiced with clove, pepper and chili, slightly fruity sweet, a bit sour and a bit bitter in the finish. Rough brew with a sharp edge, but with loads of flavor and not bad at all. Full bodied and with lively carbonation.

A Mes rate. Bottle from La Cervateca, Barcelona. Very dark murky brown with a decent white head. Wheaty and floral on the nose with a hint of syrup and fruit. Nice and fruity in the mouth. The apple is faint but works well. Decent wheat beer underneath. Nothing amazing but a nice all rounder. Delicate but lasting apple finish.

Bottle, enjoyed @ La Cerveteca, Barcelona.
Pours hazy amber with a fine, staying, small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has lots of fresh apple, light grassy hops and fruity apricot notes. High carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is nice, the apple notes feel a bit citric (which is nice), fine hoppiness to balance it, though there is little bitterness. Some caramel malts peep through as well with a dash of chocolate. Nice and fresh.
