that’s one of my favorite "blonde" beer; its bitterness leads to drink "la Martesana" whenever you want.

Cloudy light tan, more big yeasty aroma, smooth mellow body with some nice pale malt, but this is way too yeasty.

Surely the brewery’s top product, this dry and hoppy, absolutely refreshing blond ale is a favourite choice; a sweet, breadcrumb malt opening is turned into a bitter and flowery twist. Impossible not to want a second, a third glass.

Non male davvero! Buon aroma e sapore! Troppo frizzante! Bevuta in bottiglia!

Draught at Orzobruno, Pisa. Clear golden with a frothy white head. Spicy German hop nose, bread and light citrus. Flavour is bread, spice and citrus. A touch minerally on the palate. Good body. Light hoppy finish. Pretty good.

Draught, Orzo Bruno, Pisa. Bright and lagery with a dense persisting collar draping the plastic; dusky, golden and fizzing steadily. Aroma grassy hop, tangerine peel, some liver and straw but I don’t mind it. Thick creamy mf, vanilla ice cream and insistent wheat and lemon puff biscuit sweetness; robust underpinning orange hop; juniper, slight pineapple. Grows with character as it warms. A bit meaty again, but an enjoyable full-bodied hoppy lager leaning into GA/APA territory I’d take over Nastro every time.

My Bottom Line:
Toasted grain and honeyed acolytes almost supercede the herbal hops’ contribution in this quite amenable hybrid of a Golden Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the clear golden.
-This, like all beers at Orzobruno, was served at around 10 degrees Celsius. Kudos to them!
-Hops, of German origin, balance out the competent malts with their wooden, herbal dryness.
-Yeast took a little too much room in the aroma.
-This is quite Pils-like, but it is fermented with an ale yeast. It might not be designed to be a Kölsch, but this style can give you an idea of what to expect.

On tap at Orzobruno.
