UPDATED: AUG 9, 2009 Plastic cup of takeout from Orzo Bruno reeling tipsily around the streets of Pisa. Murky ruby with a collapsing halo. Lush dubbel-esque aroma of ripe plum and brown sugar; some boozy banana and coconut tropical esters milling about. Thick medicinal mouth with bags of sweetness, but not overdone; balancing hop with savoury orange and juniper freshness like a Belgian blond, or Tripel even. Goldings, Poperinge, pinch of spice? Strange and lovely balance, milkshake thick and luxurious. Grenadine and dry roasted nut hints kicking in as it warms. Very cheeky little sipper sliding down sweetly with a dusting of Belgian devilry.
