COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Cask handpump at Orzo Bruno - Pisa. Pours clear copper with a frothy, off-white head. Roasty bread in the nose, light grain, dough, berries. Medium sweet flavorbwith more bready malts, light toasted caramel, herbal hops, slight pine, grass, ripe berries, wood. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Grassy and grainy aromas, mild caramel. Hazy amber, nice off-white head. Flavour drops off quickly, some toasty malt there but the body thins out quickly to a drying finish with not much going on, a little toast malt lingers.

Draught, Orzo Bruno, Pisa. Brilliant bronze beneath uneven, lacing white. Fizz, chocolatey malt, orange hop, slight ash and yeast aroma. Choc orange, dry roasted, earthy clean malts and lingering caramel. Some decent pithy US hops in there? (apparently not). Very bottled English yeasty, with impressive hop tang squeezed from European varieties alone. Easily the tastiest Italian beer I’d ever had, at the time...
