(Ale For Obsessed)
This top fermented beer is a free interpretation of a Pale Ale. It is deep copper in color, generously hopped (it contains more than ten different types of hops including the American Chinook, Cascade and Simcoe delivering its citrusy and exotic aromas) with a lightly toasted caramel flavor that perfectly balances its bitter finish.
A beer I have always craved. To all those obsessed by Ales like me.

A.F.O. is my second creation. It was launched on the market together with VIA EMILIA at the end of March 2007. The story behind this beer dates back to January 2006 when, for the first time, I came across the new and irresistible character of American hops. Despite the initial excitement, I soon realized that my dream pale ale aimed to express something different. Thus, I challenged myself to create a complex bouquet that would end up being unusual and enticing. The investigation in the field of hop aromas (which may never end) lead me to England and Germany. I also experimented with hop varieties from New Zealand. Despite this, A.F.O.ís unmistakable character will never change.

330ml bottle @Lupulo Feroz, Oviedo. Some grape, citrus aromas. Pours hazy amber, with nice persistent off-white head, poor lacing. Medium body, high carbonation, some crispy texture. Taste is fruity, citrusy, subtle caramel, with dry aftertaste. Not so balanced, too much carbonation, but enjoyable and pleasant anyway.

Bottle split at Open Baladin, Roma, 21/06/13 during the stag. Lightly hazed amber. Nose is light fart, summer fruits, hops, caramel. Taste comprises caramel malt, rhubarb, hops, liqourice, strawberries. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, refreshing finish with light bitterness. Solid enough APA.

Colore ambrato, schiuma persistente, aroma davvero intenso e articolato dato dai numerosi luppoli utilizzati. In bocca risulta scorrevole con un buon apporto caramellato di malto presto sostituito da pompelmo e resina mai troppo invadenti. Pale ale davvero molto buona. Da bere a secchiate.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2015 Alla spina. Estiva!

On tap in a tulip glass at The Local Taphouse ST Kilda on 18/03/13. Pours golden brown with a white head that didnít hold. It was just bland, nice hop aroma with hints of peach but really disappointing taste. Almost no malt flavours, surprising giving itís deep colour and almost no traditional hop profile... 9 hops? Really? Also a slightly sulphuresque yeast element. Iím hoping this beer just didnít travel well....

Bottle. Amber with an inch of white head thatís never less than a coat. Complex hop aroma with grapefruit, orange, flowers, tropical fruits and spices. Some bread and caramel too. Light, creamy texture, highish carbonation. Sweet with caramel, bread, peaches, oranges. Spices, pine and grapefruit lead into a fairly bitter finish. Like this a lot but bet itís better in situ.

Very haze tangerine color with nice foam. Hops and tropical fruits on aroma and taste, with a nice bitter hoppy aftertaste. Very nice beer.

Pale color with excessive cream production, very citrus and hop in aroma, the taste is bitter and dry, with grapefruit notes, P.A./I.P.A. is not my favorite style, overly hoppy, with very astringent aftertaste.

Pour is dark transparent copper with a yellowish white fluffy head. Nose is very soft and sugary, caramel and brown sugar, light toasted grain and some syrupy resinous citrus. Taste is very sweet, lost of caramel, very sugary, lightly toasted grain mid palate moving to a syrupy citrus hop in the finish. Heavy body, low carb, not on point with pale ale.

330ml bottle. Looks very inviting when poured with a deep golden honey amber colour and a crisp tan head, followed by lots of floral hop aromas. Very smooth in the mouth and on the paste, almost creamy.
