2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 dado93 (50) - - FEB 19, 2013Pale color with excessive cream production, very citrus and hop in aroma, the taste is bitter and dry, with grapefruit notes, P.A./I.P.A. is not my favorite style, overly hoppy, with very astringent aftertaste.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Kosmokrator (291) - ITALY - APR 25, 2013
Estiva!
2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 TobyMartin (15) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAR 17, 2013
On tap in a tulip glass at The Local Taphouse ST Kilda on 18/03/13. Pours golden brown with a white head that didn’t hold. It was just bland, nice hop aroma with hints of peach but really disappointing taste. Almost no malt flavours, surprising giving it’s deep colour and almost no traditional hop profile... 9 hops? Really? Also a slightly sulphuresque yeast element. I’m hoping this beer just didn’t travel well....
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 hawthorne00 (1860) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 27, 2013
Bottle. Amber with an inch of white head that’s never less than a coat. Complex hop aroma with grapefruit, orange, flowers, tropical fruits and spices. Some bread and caramel too. Light, creamy texture, highish carbonation. Sweet with caramel, bread, peaches, oranges. Spices, pine and grapefruit lead into a fairly bitter finish. Like this a lot but bet it’s better in situ.

Very haze tangerine color with nice foam.
Hops and tropical fruits on aroma and taste, with a nice bitter hoppy aftertaste. Very nice beer.

Pour is dark transparent copper with a yellowish white fluffy head. Nose is very soft and sugary, caramel and brown sugar, light toasted grain and some syrupy resinous citrus. Taste is very sweet, lost of caramel, very sugary, lightly toasted grain mid palate moving to a syrupy citrus hop in the finish. Heavy body, low carb, not on point with pale ale.

330ml bottle. Looks very inviting when poured with a deep golden honey amber colour and a crisp tan head, followed by lots of floral hop aromas. Very smooth in the mouth and on the paste, almost creamy.

On tap at local taphouse. Pours an orange copper with a fluffy white head. Aromas of apricot, peach and citrus. Malt driven with fruity notes at the back end. Different to any other APA that I’ve had. I like this a lot.
