A blend of New Morning and 18 month aged 3 Fonteinen Lambic refined for at least 12 months in bottle. It has a surprisingly citrus nose of leather, cellar and animal with hints of dried flowers and honey. Lasting and sapid in the mouth with a sour finish that always makes the lovers of this blend smile.
This beer could very well make you develop an addiction for spontaneous fermentation and turn your entire world upside down!

After a mechanical breakdown, 3 Fonteinen Brewery of Beersel (possibly the best Lambic blender in the world) had economic damage in the summer of 2009. The news caused such a stir in the International beer movement that I called Armand to know how things were. As he needed to sell his Lambic, I immediately got inspired to blend our New Morning with his beer. We selected three 18 month old Lambic barrels that we siphoned in a small tank on our truck. The journey back was long and hard, myself and Manuel took turns driving through Belgium, France and Italy only stopping for gas. After days hand bottling and months of maturation, the outcome has gone over and beyond our expectations and we can say with pride that it was worth it!

From the tap came a lovely golden brew with a nice white head. Very sour flavor and nasty.

Tap @ Mekong. Hazy light yellow with decent head and lacing. Smells funky. Tart but not overly astringent.

Another fun Italian beer I picked up from the co-op. Not sure it was worth the price point I ppaid. Pours out a cloudy golden straw topped with a small head. Nose is nice classic lambic funky barnyard horse blanket some spice and a little fruit note. Taste is more of the funk I have grown to love over the years along with wood fruit and a touch of sweetness. A fun beer to try and also a great story on how it was made.

Aroma is funky with a nice lambic character. Medium light citrus and stone fruit notes. Some herbal, spicy notes and tropical fruit. Pours a hazy, pale yellow orange with a large, fizzy white head. Flavor has a medium light acidity with some light citrus notes. A moderate earthy barnyard funk with some medium light herbal notes. Light tropical fruit. Nice mineral notes with medium bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with very lively carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

on tap at OEC sour fest, I had such high hops for this, get it high hops, LAWLZ. Anyway, plain and thin. Some light tartness and red beer sweetness. Actually this is thte "irish ale" of sours. Iíll leave it there.

On draught at OEC SourFest, 8/15/15 as "Beersel Mattina" and described as a blend with 18 month old Oude Beersel Lambic, not 3F as in this description.
Pale, lightly hazy white golden beer has a small white head that shows moderate retention.
Very odd beer...I donít remember Nuova Mattina being this spice-forward and while the lambic added here helps cut in to this in the nose, the flavor seems to be dominated by it with the sourness from the lambic coming late to the party (perhaps too late) and only adding light tartness and bits of funk. Otherwise, itís a rather dry Belgian golden ale, with decent enough malting and interesting aromatics. Why the nose seems to be more free of all of this spicing, I donít know, but regardless, the flavor is a disjointed mess of spices coming on strong first, and then as the beer finishes, somewhat thin and watery, the lambic qualities attach themselves. Glad I didnít pay the exorbitant price for a bottle of this from a store....

Cloudy pale color with no head. Aroma is funky lemon, hay, leather, and pear. Taste is very mild tart and fruity but not really what iwas expecting. Funky but not very tart.

Draught at Ottakringer Braukulturwochen, Vienna.
Pale yellow, cloudy body, with a massive, stable, creamy, lacing, snow white head.
Wonderful, smooth aroma of barnyard, Brett, lemongrass, ripe and dried fruits, berries, vanilla, oak.
Tastes of sour citrus, lemongrass, barnyard, spices, green apples, oak, some cheese.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes smooth, medium sour, dry, wooden, fruity.

Delicious! Very fresh and pretty easy, while still really complex and aromatic. Especially the nose is really lovely. Great balance, very smooth, the sourness isnít overpowering, there is also room for sweet notes and oak. Pretty much how I like a sour ale.

Shared bottle@HBF2015. Opaque golden color, full white head. Appealing sour aroma. Surprisingly balanced flavor with lemon and butter. Medium body, medium-low carbonation. Could work well with seafood?
