3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2012. Pours an unclear and golden beer with a white head. The aroma is malt, tart, acidic and fruit. The flavor follows the nose with additional citrus. The palate is refreshing. Overall a really good beer with a good balance.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ Appellation Comely Bank tasting. Thanks to Benjii for this one.
Appearance - cloudy golden orange with a very thin head.
Nose - oranges and ginger (once it was pointed out to me). Something farmyard and foul is lurking in the background.
Taste - more citrus, ginger and going into that dirty note again.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a sour but not tight and lean texture. It’s dry and sour on the finish, but the finish isn’t the long persistent dry finish I’d hoped for.
Overall - after great anticipation this was disappointing.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
$40 bottle of beer. Dang. but sour tickers gotta do it. So I grabbed this bottle in waterbury VT...waited 2 weeks for yeast to settle and split it 3 ways. Nose was bread-forward, sourdough and a nice earthy spice. Taste was great. Excellent mix of bread forward saison and tart wild lambic. I would love to try this again if not for the price. I imagine it’ll age very well.

Bue à la pression. Nez café, que l'on retrouve au palais avec des arômes de pruneau et une pointe sucrée en finale. Bien équilibrée.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Keg at Eurhop beer festival. Light golden orange, pretty hazy, with a nice, creamy and persistent white head. The lambic component pretty much dominate the aroma. Wet tea leaves, barnyard, cellar but surprisingly some citrusy hop notes as well. Rye bread and fruit esters in the background. A hint of rubbery smoke too. Chunky but at the same time extremely refreshing and easy to drink. Lovely lemony sourness, nice bready and wheaty presence from the saison. Pretty big bitter aftertaste. Average carbonation, medium body, creamy texture. Simply great.
