Bottle at home, from my Minneapolis Town Hall glass. Pours hazy orange/gold, moderate white head, fine lacing. Nose is tart Lambic, fresh hops, clean fruit, lots of green apple, leather, and just a touch of vinegar. Flavours of soap, crushed blossoms, lilac, leather, Lambic, tart dried pear. Lovely stuff.

750ml green bottle. 6.2% abv as per label. Deep gold coloured beer with haze and floaties. Creamy white foam on top that sticks to the glass. Nose has up front funk, leathery, tart, sharp lemon. Taste has some dough like malt, lemon, quite yeasty and dry. Tangy finish, sourness hits deep in the throat, some graininess left behind as well as yeast. Soft mouthfeel, light carbonation. A nicely blended ale. Rating #1600

gramity (601) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 2, 2012
The beer poured deep golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had spices, black pepper, grapefruit and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were spices, black pepper, sourness, banana, fruitiness, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was sour, spicy and bitter. I found this too too soft and not quite tart enough.

Bottle as Beersel Mattina shared by Marcus. Aromas of musty cheese and sour musty fruit. Smells like serious beer. Med body. Flavor is musty/funky/sour/fruity. A sessionable gueuze-like ale. Quite nice.

Bottle from Star Grocery, Berkeley. Pours orange copper with a pretty beige head and a sour fruit aroma. There is a moderately sour caramel malt flavor that is mildly fruity with a dry finish.

The pour is a fairly clear golden color with a tall white head. An interesting fruitiness on the nose, almost tropical, and quite intense. The funk component is there, but not quite as much as just straight Drie Fonteinen lambic. A slight mustiness to go along with some straw and grass. The flavor has the same strong fruit flavor as well as a nice funk and a very good dryness on the finish (despite the sweetness that I do pick up). Interesting beer.

jbeatty (168) - Washington DC, USA - APR 11, 2012
Bottle, 04/11/2012. Hazy peach pour, generous fine head with sheet-like lacing around the glass. Aroma has Drie Fronteinen lambic fruitiness, light musty tartness and horse blanket, melding with floral honey and wheat, saison yeast, herbal garden spices to finish. Taste has light apricot tartness, lemony dough, decent amount of barnyard funk in the finish. Medium light palate, finishes dry. Nice hybrid, the lambic seems to dominate a little here.

hopscotch (7526) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - APR 10, 2012
Bottle… Light golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. The restrained aroma offers spicy saison-like phenols meshed with citrusy lemon and key lime. Medium-bodied with a 2%-milk mouthfeel and zippy carbonation. The flavor provides funk, yeastiness and good acidity – aged cheese, bread dough and a light squeeze of lemon. Finishes modestly bitter and quite dry. Bottle courtesy of redlight!

750ml bottle pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a finger of white head that leaves some pleasant lacing on the glass. Aroma is light fruits with some yeast and sugar. Taste is predominantly sour with some malty sweetness and yeast and some fruitiness with some hoppy bitterness. Medium body with generous carbonation. Overall, a pretty good beer for the style and was enjoyed immensely.

75cl bottle. Pours a hazy golden colour with a big white head. Aroma is citrus and must, with a definite funkiness and tartness. Taste is citrusy, grassy and funky. Nice tartness and little sweetness. Very balanced but still alot on the lambic side. More acidic than Duchessic. Good carbonation and medium body. Everyone in the party enjoyed it, even non beer lovers. Excellent beer, to drink by the gallon if only easily available.
