2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Same bottle as picture but the 2009 is 9%. Pours a very murky reddish brown with thin cap of tan head. Aroma is fairly sour with mashed fruit like rhubarb. Slight brown sugar note in there as well. Taste is bizarre. Fairly effervescent with sugary notes fighting with a light sourness. Really a rhubarb pie vibe that is frankly a bit off putting. Alcohol is reasonably well worked though slightly warming in the finish. A little cola note in the finish. Wow, an odd one.

This was actually the beer used to make the dessert we were enjoying at the time.
