0.75 l bottle (9 %, vintage 2009). Reddish amber color. Sour aroma with strawberry, vinegar and oak. Sweet and sour flavor with toffee, strawberry, raspberry, acetic acid and oak. Full body. Not a bad sour ale, a bit too filling.

Bottle shared at CBC, London. Pours cloudy amber with a small head. Funky, musty nose with some berries. Medium sweet flavor with funk, moderate sourness, berries, cherries, mild grass, mild sugar and caramel. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet, moderately sour to finish, more funk, some musty berries, bread. Very interesting stuff.

manuchampions (1237) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 9, 2012
Same bottle as picture but the 2009 is 9%. Pours a very murky reddish brown with thin cap of tan head. Aroma is fairly sour with mashed fruit like rhubarb. Slight brown sugar note in there as well. Taste is bizarre. Fairly effervescent with sugary notes fighting with a light sourness. Really a rhubarb pie vibe that is frankly a bit off putting. Alcohol is reasonably well worked though slightly warming in the finish. A little cola note in the finish. Wow, an odd one.

Bottle, 2008 vintage, courtesy of Nino from Sherwood. Smells of cinnamon and coriander and lots of other spices, as well as sour grapes. Tastes of sour, with spices, and a medium to heavy sweetness. Medium bodied. Finishes a bit cloying. This was actually the beer used to make the dessert we were enjoying at the time.
