3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: The pour is a cloudy orange/amber color with a massive off-white head.
S: A really funky nose to this beer, which I wasnít expecting. I get a lot of the spice notes, particularly the anise that was used to flavor this beer. A lot of random fruit notes and some bready malt character.
T: Seems to have a sort of sweet and sour thing going on here. In fact, I get a bit of a Sweet Tart flavor (maybe Smarties, too). More miscellaneous fruits, but I do get peaches in particular. Quite a bit of spice flavor here, too. The malt seems sort of drowned out by all the different things going on.
M: The body is medium with a fairly high level of carbonation.
D: This was a strange beer. I didnít dislike it, but I donít think I would really want to drink a whole lot of this, either.

750 ml bottle. Pours orange amber with a thin white head. Aroma is floreal, with spicy hops and malty. Taste is similar with fruity malts, sweet citrus with hints of spice. This beer has been a great surprise!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle thanks to westcoastbeerlvr on BA. Pours hazy amber with a large lasting yellowish head. The aroma is rather tart with some fruity notes and spice. The flavor is slightly tart and funky with soured caramel and slight berries and pumpkin spices. Medium bodied and mildly acidic with higher carbonation. Interesting but I canít say Iím the biggest fan.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750mL courtesy of Travlr. Gusher. Poured a fully hazy amber with a medium cinnamon head that left amazing lacework everywhere on the Westvleteren glass. Very nice sour fruits, starfruit, cinnamon, allspice in the aroma. Taste is watery, metallic, lots of lemon iced tea. Not much going on- probably infected with something that voided the body of sugar.

í08 bottle, holy gusher Krampus.
pours orange, off-white head with decent floating yeasty elements.
aroma, plenty of xmas spices, yeast, fruit, anise and what seems to be priming sugar.
flavors, all spices, yeasty, malty clove, anise, lingering matly/yeasty mouthfeel with carbonation that is a tad on the high side, light spicy back mouthfeel. Get some brown sugar mixed in between the whole spicy palate.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml leaking bottle. Gusher. Pours murky brown, thick, foamy tan head. Aroma of spices - nutmeg, cinnamon, others, and alcohol. Taste is smooth, silky, medium spice, slight sourness probably a bit of brett. Nice enough, considering the leak.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Beautiful 750mL bottles, the Italians know how to do it up right. The beer rises up the neck after popping, but no gushing, very manageable. Thus, it pours with a beautiful, large, pillow-y, long lasting head. Color is a dark copper amber. Its a loud beer. The beer itself, take one part tart and wild, add a Belgian-esque yeastiness, , some cereal Belgian malts, and compound it with a vigorous carbonation. Spices, what spices, all overwhelmed by the wild/tart character. Loved to drink it, beautiful stuff, but wont pay that price tag in the future. Santa donít come cheap in Italy.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Old BA rate - bottle)
Poured with a frothy finger of nearly white head; vibrant burnt orange color and a little hazy. Lightly tart; spicy; bit of honey. Medicinal; flowery then honey; back to vibrant floral and spice notes. Light, though a touch syrupy; very bubbly vibrant carbonation; interesting. Nicely drinkable given the number of flavors going on, and a little spicy and warming which was pleasant. Overall, even though I had this in August, it was still a nice brew at the time. I could see where it would be preferable during the cooler months.

Slick texture. Average carbonation. Sweet, fruit and malt finish.
