Blend of Krisopolis (a new beer, that will be available in the future, fermented in barrels for 2 years, then Morello cherries are added to it), with a part of Ultima Luna (Barley Wine matured in Amarone barrels, with Marasca Morello cherries) and a part of young beer.

First brewed in 2009 and bottled in 2011.

Bottle at home. Pours murky reddish brown, nose is funky, balsamic, fruity, taste is similar, quite sour and dry.

Tap at Erzbierschof. Very sour indeed, with some bitter almond. Punchy, rather a bit too much. Almost flat.

Looks great, smells quite strange but what a fabulous taste. Really sour and gets better with each mouthful. However be careful it goes down easily. Lovely beer and worth a try even if you don’t normally like the "sours".

Blend piwa Krisopolis leżakowanego przez 2 lata w beczkach z dodatkiem wiśni Morello z piwem Ultima Luna (Barley Wine leżakowany w beczkach po czerwonym, wytrawnym winie Amarone z dodatkiem wiśni Marasca Morello.
Kolor czerwono-brazowy. Niewielka biała piana. W aromacie czuć kwaśne ciemne owoce, masę wiśni i trochę winnych nut. W smaku owocowe, kwaśne, trochę cierpkie. Na pierwszy plan wychodzą kwaśne wiśnie i czerwone wino. W oddali czuć beczkowe nuty. Po pewnym czasie smak przechodzi już w bardziej octowy. Świetny i wielopoziomowy trunek.

Bottle 2011. Dark, murky brown with amber/orange hues. Absolutely no head. Very high acidity, vinegar. Tart, cherries. Reminiscent oak character of Fat Grapes winery, French oak barrels. Like your smelling the inside of a barrel. Taste is very unique, taste of juicy cherry pie, cherry filling. Not relatively tart, chewy, delicately sweet with a soft sourness, two flavors blend beautifully.

Gusher. Nice slightly bubbly shortlasting head, dirty reddish color, hazy. Aroma is very dry oaky, thinner, oak, bark, sour cherries, grass, vinegar, cherry stones, spices. Taste is sour-ish dry, vinegar, sour cherries, oak, cherry stones, weeds, minerals, berry skin, balsamico. Medium bitterness, sour-ish dry mouthfeel. Very nice.

On tap at Brasserie Beck, DC. Hazy red body with slight head. Nose is fruity, sweet. Taste also sweet and a tad sour. Prickly texture. Enjoyable.

Bottle, Cuvée 2012. Pours slightly hazy red, with creamy pinkish head. Aroma is fruity with cherries and dark stone fruits, balsamic vinegar, wooden barrels and leather, as well as forest berries, whiffs of sherry and tobacco. Medium to full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is tart with balsamic vinegar, musty berries, wooden barrels and leather. Lingering wooden finish with some musty notes.

Bottle at BarVolo. 2012 vintage. Wow, rich sour cherries, umeboshi, earthy grapes with a tart edge and wine texture, oak, long sour finish. Very impressive stuff, not for everyone but nicely deep and complex.
