A burgundy red ale with a very thin white head. In aroma, pleasant sour cherry, with light lactic acid, berries, candy sugar, very nice and soothing. In mouth, a nice mix of sweet and sour cherries, light butter, puckering yet delicious... Mamamia!!! On tap at Common Market South.

At Borefts 2014. Together with Blackthorn, my favourite sour from the festival (appart from Tilquin & Cantillon). Pours hazy red. Lots of berries in the aroma, strong tarty, red berryflavour.

Appearance:Murkish brown with no head
Aroma: Tart, tanine, berries and cherries
Taste: Tart cheries, vinegar, hint of yeast, tanine in the finish. Atertaste is like wine meets kriek. Hard to describe but it has a nice twisted complexity.
velvet texture, medium body, sot carbonation.
Good brew or people who like Sour (ruity) brews. Allthough the appearance is not that great.

Tap. Poured a hazy reddish copper color with a mostly diminished fizzy white head with little lacing. Moderate to heavy sour yeast and tart berry aroma. Medium to full body with a tingly texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour & tart fruit flavor with a medium to heavy tart & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

On tap at GCB. Pinkish brown with no head and placid surface. Aroma/flavor is very tart, moderate acetic acid, fruity, yet with a watery body and little effervescence, strawberry? I didnít specifically get cherry. Meh, this was ok. I recall being bored by the one-dimensional overbearing sourness..

Bottle from 2011. The beer is a maroonish brown. It seems to be quite cloudy and has absolutely no head. The aroma is big on cherries, funk and wine barrel flavors. Sweet grapes with sour cherries on top. There might be a little malty sweetness but itís well in the background. Mild acetic note. Really nice fruitiness, though itís on the path to too sweet medicinal territory. The taste starts out smoother with a bit more malt body if not flavor than expected. It has a round, kinda sugary flavor upfront that I guess comes from the barley wine addition. Moderate acetic sourness. A bit harsh. Less fruit than in the aroma. Some oak in the background of that sour finish, kinda surprised that itís not stronger. Interesting beer. I like the combination of wine barrels and cherries, but the sourness isnít quite right for my palate.

Hazy dull red appearance. Aroma and flavour are of sour red cherries. Too sour for me. Can feel the alcohol quite strongly too.

Bue en bouteille de 33cl. Année 2010. Superbe équilibre entre le côté sour et l'alcool. Nez acide et floral, palais avec une pointe de fruit rouge. Délicieux.

Pours hazy deep dark orange/red, almost brown with a white medium head. Aromas of lots of vinegar, cherries, sugar-like notes and some yeast. Taste is very sour cherries up front, lots of vinegar and some yeast. Tastes like a sour red.
