Well needed IPA after destroying my bikes gears on my trail. Poured out a bit of a murky light amber brew due to me dumping in the goop and a large, thick white crown that sticks around leaving great lacing. Rrgf, peaches, light pine, maybe something salty (which makes no sense), wonderful slightly sweet caramel smells. The taste is pretty good and is pretty much how I like my ipa’s. Standard yummy stiff with a bit of extra sweet richness. There’s just enough bite from the pine to balance everything out. Smooth pine, Rrgf, nectarine, spice goodness, non sweet caramel. I dig this. Medium bodied and a long bitter finish that has not ruined my ’buds. Wicked belch!

330ml brown bottle. Golden pour with light haze. Two fingers of creamy white cap that has decent retention and small rings of lacing left in the glass. Nose is grapefruity, faint pine whiffs along with some general fruitiness. In the mouth the beer has big grapefruit bitterness at front, brief sweetness/caramel note in the middle but grapefruity hops take over quickly and last till the end. Aftertaste is greapefruit with a grassy hint. Medium bodied, fine bubbled tingly carbonation. Pretty drinkable, bitter where it should be, the alcohol remians pretty well hidden, another way too drinkable double IPA.

330ml bottle pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger off-white head that retains well and eventually reveals some nicely latticed lacing. Aroma is caramel malts and citrus with some light earthy notes. Taste is malty sweet at first and follows with some pleasing grapefruit bitterness and closes with some earthy flavors. Medium body and average carbonation. A very pleasant experience.

A bit of a disappointment for me. Pours out a bright golden orange with a fluddy yellow head that slowly dies without leaving any traces of lacing. The nose is spicy, sweet and fruity with resin and pine notes an a few grapefruit notes. First taste is sweet, light malts and slight bitterness. Spicy hop notes and pine resins build up on the finish. This is a very average imperial IPA that is missing the smack of resin and puckering hops.

[ASPETTO]
oro carico , quasi ambrato con riflessi arancio, velata
[SCHIUMA]
bianca, buona presenza, fine e compatta, lunga persistenza
[OLFATTO]
[TEXTURE]
corpo medio, abbastanza morbida, media percezione alcolica
[COMMENTO FINALE]

On tap at Selezione Birra 2012, Rimini. Pours a copper color with a nice white head. Lasting foam. Aroma is malty sweet-ish with loads of tropical fruits. Taste is similar with a nice sweet backbone and tons of fruity hops. Pineapple, peach and citrus mostly. Good carbonation. No alcohol perceived. Stunning.
