Prachtig bier, zwart met flinke bruine kraag. In geur en smaak crème brulee duidelijk aanwezig. Koolzuur is wat scherp, body kan iets beter. Maar wel erg lekker.

(Mikkie = Cattivella) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a snifter, ABV 9.5% Black colour on the body, huge and thick dark eige head on top, with excellent retention. Aroma of milky chocolate, sugars, roasted malts, light liquorice, burnt caramel. Taste also of milky chocolate, coriander or cardamom maybe, burnt caramel, roasted malts, indeed tastes like a creme brulee. Well hidden alcohol. Medium thick body, carbonation on the high side. Very good.

Bottle bought from Beertemple in Amsterdam. Pours a thick dark brew with a fine espresso-colourd head. Smells great, vanilla, maple syrup, caramel and milk chocolate. The taste falls a bit short, with notes of vanilla up front, but other than that an average stout, watery, dry and with a harsh bitterness in the aftertast.

Keg in Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Mahogany with a frothy cream head. Sweet, sightly soapy aroma with coffee and caramel. The taste is rich and delicious. Creme brule before lingering coffee. Fairly sweet and light in body making it dangerously drinkable for the style. Excellent.
