3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Wow. One of the most intense and distinctive beers Iíve had in a while. It is as advertised. Blueberry certainly comes through. Deeply sour. A little of the hot pepper comes through, mostly in my throat. This liquid in my glass is quite similar to balsamic vinegar. Iím the kind of guy who likes to sip balsamic vinegars, so Iím happy to slowly drink this beer. But itís definitely an academic beer-drinking experience rather than an enjoyable one.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle (Batch #2). Intensely tart with lots of blueberry coming through. The chilies are faint in the background - very little if anything from the whisky barrels.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Avenue. Pours a cloudy dark brown with beige head that lasts. The aroma is tart fruit funk. Syrupy thick mouthfeel with light tartness and oak, easy to drink, good.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Sample from tap @ Beer Temple with Benzai & Lothore. Color is as good as black, with no head to speak of. Aromaís: vinegar (balsamic), vary acidic, sharp in the nose, light berries, cleaning stuff, but still a light/vague malty sweetness. Flavor is very sour, acidic, but again with a light sweetness in the background, some fruit berries. The acidity and alcohol feel sharp in the throat. The flavor wasnít as bad as I expected from the aroma.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle number 494 of 4000. Pours an opaque purplish black with just a thing ring of bubbly head that leaves no lace. Aroma is heavy on the acetone and vinegar up front, very faint hints of chocolate and fruit. Taste is no bueno, this went wrong in the barrel, the sour went to nail polish remover. I hate to want to do this because it wasnít cheap, but this may be a drain pour.

2.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Draught @ Beer Temple shared with Lothore. Pitch black color, brown head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is sourish but also a little bit roasty and indeed a touch of blueberry. Taste is incredibly sour, acidic and vinegar. There is actually blueberry detectable, but the vinegar spoils it all imo. Very dry finish. Not. my thing.

1.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
On tap at BeerTemple. Dark brown black pour with thin brown head. Aroma is super acetic, balsamic bomb, oak, fruity aromas, roasty notes. Taste is enamel stripping, throat burning acidity, super vinegar, no residual sweetness. Palate is super dry, so sour itís actually hard to evaluate body. I will know what to use when my car battery runs low on liquid. Undrinkable.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Apparently, it can be too sour. This beer burns a hole in your mouth and intestines. Fruit only distant.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Well, itís definitely a sour. Poured dark brown with a frothy head. Aroma of fruity vinegar. Medium body, the flavour is verrrrry tart, some of the blueberry is still in there, but itís not exactly more-ish.
