A special one time creation that truly lives up to its name. The base is a Stout brewed with hot chili peppers that has been aged for almost 2 years with blueberries & pediococcus. It is opaque black in color in with just a touch of carbonation. Quite acidic & tart along with very intense flavors and aromas. This nightmare is sure to leave a lasting memory.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours dark brown with a small, beige head. Aroma of acetone and not much else. Flavor more like a stout aged in barrels with berries and peppers. Average texture. A weird beer.

Pours a very dark purple with no head of foam or lacing. I get sourness from the blueberries and light heat from the chilies in the smell. The tart blueberries are very tasty up front; then the taste and heat from the chilies move in and mess up the good thing going on. My opinion only of course. No carbonation but thatís not the problem with this brew. I have already mentioned what bugs me.

Serving: bottle. It pours a very dark brown with some loose bubbles that quickly settle to nothing. Unusual funky blueberry, roasted malt, and a little vinegar. The flavor is mix of sour, blueberry bubble gum, balsamic vinegar, alcohol, and a little varnish. Very, very odd. I canít say this works well together. Glad this bottle was shared because several ounces is more than enough.

My Bottom Line:
Balsamic vinegar takes the reigns here, with dark chocolate, blueberries and roastiness in tow, leading to an eye-stinging sourness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the blackness.
-Drinkability is obviously very low, but this is still a compelling brew.
-Pediococcus is lost within the acetobacteria. Which is fine by me.
-The mouthfeel remains smooth, not intensely dry.
-Alcohol is not felt at all.
-This would have benefited from some blending, methinksÖ

On tap at Lortica, Bologna.

(750ml bottle) Pours a dark brown body with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chili peppers, blueberries, and pedio. Flavor of blueberries, vinous, oil, chilies, pedio, dried cherries, and cocoa.

Holy Mother of God! Who pissed off the brewer of this beer? The smell was enough to warn you off this vile concoction of Hell Water. But the flavor! The flavor! I cannot use strong enough language to describe the vile, horror, nightmarishness that is the flavor of this demon jizz. Lord have mercy on the souls of the men and women brave enough to face this Nightmare!

A- black, no light passes through. Two finger head leaves lots of lacing. S- boozy, blueberry, caramel, rum T- balsamic vinegar, deep sourness, lots of blueberry. M- thick, sticky, fairly disgusting with very little carbonation D- not my style of beer at all. Any more than a few sips and I would not have been happy

Wow. One of the most intense and distinctive beers Iíve had in a while. It is as advertised. Blueberry certainly comes through. Deeply sour. A little of the hot pepper comes through, mostly in my throat. This liquid in my glass is quite similar to balsamic vinegar. Iím the kind of guy who likes to sip balsamic vinegars, so Iím happy to slowly drink this beer. But itís definitely an academic beer-drinking experience rather than an enjoyable one.
