COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A special one time creation that truly lives up to its name. The base is a Stout brewed with hot chili peppers that has been aged for almost 2 years with blueberries & pediococcus. It is opaque black in color in with just a touch of carbonation. Quite acidic & tart along with very intense flavors and aromas. This nightmare is sure to leave a lasting memory.

Draft... This beer rocks!... Pours black with a large, creamy, lightly-tanned head that never diminishes. The aroma is a swirl of farmhouse yeast dustiness and sweet port intertwined with modest blueberry and cocoa components. Full-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and vibrant carbonation. The flavor is oude bruin-like Ė sharp acidity flanked by fruity blueberries, cherries and hints of caramel and mocha. Itís a bit roasty, but thatís not a major element here. Finishes acutely tart and fruity. World class beer from a world class brewery!

Tap @ Kick. Dark brown body with almost no head. Aroma has malt and some berries, not particular blueberry but some kind of acidic berries in combination with vinegar. Rather intense, but nice and promising aroma. The flavor unfortunately does not live up to the expectations from aroma, itís simply too one-dimensional vinegar. Really acidic with a hint of chocolate malt. Iím not able to detect any berries at all with the exception from the last part of the aftertaste. It has some qualities for sure and a delicious aroma, but ends up to raw and acidic for my tast.

Pours a cloudy brownish purple with quick dissipating head. Aromas of light berry, barnyard, with a touch of vinegar. Flavor is sour vinous berry with a biting acidic finish. Beautiful!!! No chili pepper at all.

Draught @ Whats Brewing - Saturday Session 2, Stavanger
Pours dark reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, vinegar, balsamic and berries. Taste is light sweet and heavy sour with a long dry, sour, vinegar and balsamic finish. Body is medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Dark blue/red, white head. Smell of blueberries, barbeque, malts, some booze. Moderate sweet, blueberries, smoke, barbeque, some malts, oak. Quite interesting stuff; not too pronounced blueberries.

On Tap brown with a thin tan head. Dont catch the "purple" in it. Lots of smokey sweet berry aroma. Classic stout base with a touch of the peppers that is in the deScription,. Lots of sweet berry flavor and some dusty roast. The souring is not over the top and compliments well. Not unpleasant, but bizarre. I think it works.

draft that was and is as strange as its name. dark brown to black with no head. the aroma is sour and blueberry. ok then you take a drink and go wow...this beer is sour. but not as bad as it could be. but itíll make you pucker and the blueberry flavor is as intense as it is sour. but itís black...thatís the weirdness. its not a stout or a porter but I thought it was pretty good.

On tap @ Whatís Brewing 15. Pours deep dark blue, with a creamy reddish head. Aroma is tart berries and vinegar, with musty blueberries, bretty wood and cork. Full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is tart forest berries, tannins and balsamic vinegar, as well as bretty wood, farmhouse and musty earthy notes.

Draft at The Pour House in Westmont, NJ. Pours a dark purple, almost black color thats reminiscent of eggplant. Opaque with a thin, half finger off-white head that immediately settles. No lacing. Vinous dark fruit aroma with some earthy oak and a strong acetone presence. A bit too much solvent/nail polish for my liking but hereís also some funky yeast and wild bugs counter things a but. Lots of dark grape, currant and blueberry but the acetic vinegar is a big turnoff. Wow, the acetone is much sharper and prominent than in the nose. Really abrasive and acidic with tons of solvent flavor killing off the wild bugs, oak and blueberry. After a while the dark fruit notes come too the forefront with some blueberry, dark grape and currant. Still, itís way too strong on the acetic acid/acetone/solvent flavors. Pretty much undrinkable after a few ounces.
