Slayer85 (457), Firenze, Italy May 28, 2008 750 ml bottle. A lightly hazy light amber beer with a medium sized, and lacing white head. The aroma is nice, malty with notes of oranges, light spices, and grassy hops. The flavour is very spicy, with many "piquant" hints and coriander. Strong hopping. Lightly unbalanced for the strong spiciness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium body, lively carbonation, dry and quite long finish with medium bitterness. Interesting, though not between my favourites among this style.

Papsoe (10551), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 9, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy golden with a tall and lively, frothy off-white head. Fresh grapefruitish aroma. Medium body with a little yeast and a very fresh and citrusy hoppiness that also leaves a solid dose of bitterness. 030608 oh6gdx (6343), Vaasa, Finland Sep 30, 2008 Bottled@SBWF2008. Hazy nutbrown colour, mediumsized white fluffy head. Aroma is pumpkin pie, some hops and mild spices. Flavour is the same with a lot of grassyness. Mild barnyardy notes too. markwise (287), Satellite of Love, Florida, USA Sep 23, 2008 A very unique Saison. Pale gold color with a fluffy white head. Strong pungent aroma. Big raucous peppery punch in mid-swallow. Licorice and pepper in the finish. Lots of lace in the glass. I was not a big fan. thebeertourist (1896), Oslo, Norway Sep 20, 2008 From bottle at Bruxellensis 2008. Hazy deep golden with a frothy head and some sediment. Spicy hop-like aroma (though I suspect it is the camomile). Strong camomile and flowery flavours-very dry. Wel-carbonated. Scores for originality and craftmanship.
