33cl bottle pour@5e Mondial de la Bière, Mulhouse - FR. Milky beige, true-to-style saison pour, decent big-poured soapy head. Heavily spiced aroma of condensed coriander seed, chamomile, flowers: tending more towards urinal cake than organic spring meadow, but still leaving room and air for doubt somewhere in between those perfumed pores. Fizzy; slightly fruit-sticky palate. Taste is wheat-driven, fruity and then entirely defined by the spicy components of the yeast and added ginger. Another manageable Italian creative overdrive saison, satiating the need it itself creates in one bottle.

Sample at YNWA, Kolding, on Øllets Dag. Pours cloudy straw with airy white head. Clear Rom of hops, citrus and malt. Slightly vinous, citric flavour, with bitter, hoppy notes. Spicy touches. Rough aftertaste. A very nice one.

Bottle from the Italian Bar at GBBF 2014. Clear, pale, straw coloured beer, with a medium white head. Nose is very lemon zest forward, cereal grain maltiness, citrousy, herby. Taste is very zesty lemon peel, cereal grain malt, some spiciness and muted saison character. Just a bit of floral yeast character.

Pale cream colour. Aroma is spices - bursting with cloves and cardamom; nice! Taste is the same as above with a very dry finish. Overall, nice spicy ale, but some of the saison elements are a bit muted.

Birra giallo dorato opalescente. Schiuma bianca fine persistente. Aroma intenso speziato, zenzero e pepe verde, frumento, floreale . Gusto secco speziato (pepe e zenzero in evidenza) erbaceo, ricorda la camomilla in fiore, acidula. Poco amara. Poco corposa, decisamente carbonata, poco calda ed un po’ spigolosa. Equilibrata ed armonica.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2014 33 cl in Teku. Pours a very nice medium/large frothy but quite dense white head, which desings some sort of dunes inside the glass; colour is hazy orange /dark golden. Super fresh, delicate and sophisticated aroma: very floral, chamomile, grainy/wheat, pumpkin/sweet veggies, a bit spicy; smells quite like countryside in a spring day, really. Tastes chamomile, wheat, forest, a bit herbal and yeasty, and fairly follows the aroma; it’s low sweet in the very beginning, going towards a low bitter (never invasive) and spicy finish. ExtremlY balanced and refined, well carbonated, the spices used are nicely soft and give a fresh sensation. Appreciable and original, should be tasted not too cold in my opinion to fully understand it. Quite like nothing I’ve ever smell/tasted, a very nice Italian Saison UPdate: This last bottle I got seemed even tastier. Freshly spiced, apple/cider aroma. Really nice and refined beer!
