Roasted malty caramel flavor with some nutty hints and hints of chocolate. Has a roasted malty nutty caramel finish. Allen (1282), Switzerland Jul 1, 2009 Bottled 33cl but labeled as 75cl. Courtesy of daniele. It pours a dark brown beer with a small beige head. Burnt match, jarred pickles, mushrooms, cress, horse blanket and vinegar accompany the roasted malt components in the nose which is rather iniviting. Dry taste. Faintly acidic which adds quite a lot to my appreciation of this beer. Leathery. Medium bodied. Low carbonation. Cress, candied apricot, mushrooms, jarred pickles and burnt match appearing again. Very pleasant palate. Not much lacework. Long dry finish which is reminiscent of chocolate powder, sage and licorice. A top notch Porter. Another great beer from this brewery! Thanks a lot daniele!
