Having such a reliable first rater (JPP) for this nice dark beer, I could only add my compliments for this young brewer, crafting beers full of flavours and personality.

Black color, with big head. Delicate aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. The carbonation is absent, it has some roasted malt flavor, caramel, chocolate; the bitterness comes only from the roasted malt. Smooth but not exciting.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm) Dark brown colour, almost black, with brief pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of espresso and hints of ashes. Roasted, malty taste with dark chocolate, cocoa and black coffee. Dry, rather short finish with some cocoa bitterness. Rather thin body. Nice one, but I’d rather call this a dry stout or an english porter than a brown ale, which is also stated on the label.
