2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 harrisoni (10911) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 27, 2011
Sampled at ACBF 2011. TCP aroma. Rubberaroma too. Not my favourite flavours. Too much peat for me over a juicy impy stout. Chili on the finish lasted in mouth past two more beers.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 yngwie (10760) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 24, 2012
Bottle at Patricks. Islay 2002. Black, and topped by a dense, finger-thick, light tan head, it certainly deserves its name. Peat, camp-fire, roasted malts, dark sugar, ripe cheese and alcohol on the nose. Full-bodied on the palate, warming, sticky and soft. A light peaty touch, roasted, burnt, licorice-ish, and with some peaty notes in the flavour. Not much bitterness, but it’s still sort of balanced. Lasting finish. A pleasant beer indeed. 120823
3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 madmitch76 (9867) - , Essex, ENGLAND - MAR 27, 2011
4th March 2011 Bottle at ACBF. Opaque brown beer, no head. TCP and rubber nose! Taste is mercifully much better! Dark malt that is slightly sweet. Smoky whiskey. The chilli seems quite subtle when considering the regular Verdi. I think the smoky whiskey has eaten most of it! Okay!

Bottle, bought @ YNWA, Kolding.
Pitch black with a firm, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma is heavy peity but has a delicate sweetness to it, so it does completely overpower me. Light liqourice and roasted malts. Softly vinious. Soft carbonation, fine creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant sweet, roasted, lovely peity, liqourice, light grainy. Quite elegant viniousness with a fine warming feel.
