COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Russian Stout with hot peppers.Winner of the best beer at BRAU Beviale 2008, a quaffable Imperial Stout with a medium body and a good lingering finish. Liquorice and nutty in character, the dark malt profile is shown also by the cappuccinolike foam.

Fine fine imperial stout. Peppers tickle your throat, not too much just enough. Nuts, espresso, medium-bodied. Overall excellent IS.

Yummmmmm-OOOOOOOOO!!!!! Right up there with the very best Italian brews. Poured with a huge, brown, foamy, frothy, thick, sudsy head and lots of lace. Color is as black as my heart and just as opaque too. Aroma is malt, roast, coffee, cocoa, bare hint of chili pepper, and hint of dark, ripe fruit. Flavor is the same with the chili pepper coming out briefly at the end and then fading again. Body is mouth filling and carbonation is perfect for the style. Finish is like flavor. Delicious beer. I want more!! and I don’t have any. wah.

a very good bier, strong, but not too hard to drink. Great flavours of cocoa, coffee and smoke, perfect on a roast meat.

Fantastic Imperial Stout from a land that focuses almost entirely on light-colored weak-bodied "beer". Perhaps I rate this so high b/c it is such a rarity in the Italian context. It pours dark, dark chocolate brown with a thin fizzy cappuccino head. Notes of malt and chocolate and alcohol in the nose. A solid mouthfeel, with a silky smoothness. The alcohol is masked more with the balanced maltiness. Great Imperial Stout! There is yet hope for stout-heads visiting Italy!

On Tap at Two Amy’s in DC. Intriguing aroma. Can’t quite place it. Want to name it. Smells like something but I can’t quite place it. The taste in even more intriguing. Wispy and seductive. Too complex to eat with food. It demands to be on its own. I think it must be an herb. Reminds me of absinthe! I finally decide that it must be juniper. What a pungent flavor, nicely buffered with a malty bitter-sweet. Leaves me with a wonderful buzz. Not so much intoxicating as delirious. Truly remarkable

Deep black body with a creamy, tall and persistent cappucino-like head. Aroma of liquor, vanilla. Taste is coffee, dark chocolate with a strange aftertaste I could not figure out. Dry, sweety finish.

Did I mention that I love a good Stout, and this one, from the tap, was one of the best. Those Italians do beer so well. Dark as midnight with a thick rich head. Aromas and flavors of fruity, chocolate, roasty malts. Full bodied and delicious like a Sophia..

The best stout out of Italy in my opinion. Perfect balance of roasted malt and hops. Sharp flavors but not to sharp. Coffee dominates but woodiness shows through as well. Medium to heavy body with creaminess as it warms. Great beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a bubbly black with a big gaseous mocha colored head that slides down the glass... Rich aromas of chocolate, espresso and a touch of earthy nuttiness. On the palate its quite lively with typical stout appeal. However a nice bubble similar to a belgian style stout brings out a little more of the dark fruit, wheaty malt flavors and a beautiful hint of smokey chipolte in the finish, not overbearing just enough to make you want to keep drinking it !
