4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
a very good bier, strong, but not too hard to drink.
Great flavours of cocoa, coffee and smoke, perfect on a roast meat.

2.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Draught at Thai Me Up. Pours black with a nice head and impressive lace. Aroma is slightly sour, dark fresh roast, a little licorice, earth. Flavor is very similar, veering bitter with subdued sweetness, and long earthy licorice finish. Feel is very lively but with a dusty density. Really nice surprise in this one.

Nice. Really nice. Foamy pour. Good not particularly sweet spice. But the kicker here is SPICE! Wow. Really hits you at the back end. Recommended.

Cerveja com aroma bastante complexos, com chocolate, café, tostado, especiarias e álcool. Na boca os aromas se repetem e apresenta bastante pungência e secura.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sample at RBWG Thursday night. Poured thinner density pitch black body with a smaller beige head. Aroma and flavor are overloaded with Scotch. Some burnt toast, ash and bitter bakers dark chocolate. Thinner body with soft carbonation. Another one I’m against the popular opinion on.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Appalachian Vintner for RBWG. Pours a deep brown with some amber highlights and a small ring for a head. Notes of smoke, chocolate, roasted malts, peat, and Scotch. Medium-full bodied, with low to moderate carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. So rich.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 28, 2014 33cl bottle.
Appearance: deep dark brown with small beige head. Leaves some lacing.
Aroma: Coffee, roasted Malts, some licorice and a hint of smoke in the background
Taste: Sweet roast, chocolate, spicey, and dry bitter flavor.
Medium body (on the thin end for an imperial stout, but it’s still fits for a imperial stout.), medium carbonation, oily texture

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very curious beer, with a marked character to black coffee and liquorice, both in nose and mouth. The most remarkable thing is, together with its medium body and it’s (almost) watery texture, its lingering spicy finish, longlasting and notable. Strange, but very good, beer.

Tap with mj. Pours a deep brown appearance with little head. Some peat and smoke in the nose. Caramel. Rich aroma. Heavy whiskey in the flavor. Fairly boozy. Herbal. Spicy flavor. Not my cup of tea.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
330 ml bottle - pours deep brown with small head, nice sticky lacing. Freshly roasted coffee beans with green paprica in the nose; complex aroma. Medium body (watery base) with taste of poster paint and bittersweet chocolate. Quite a treat, lacks a tad sweetness.
